Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) collected full points with a narrow 1-0 victory over Controllerate of Inspection Electronics (CIL) in the Super Division football league at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Sunday.
Battling on a slushy field, BEML’s winner came in the 70th minute through Govinda.
CIL were reduced to ten men in the last 15 minutes as referee Vijayakumar (Jr) gave the marching orders to Krishna Kumar for a foul on Shyam Kumar.
BEML now have six points from three outings, while CIL are yet to register a win this season and are stacked in the bottom half of the table with just one point from three matches.
Goalless draw
Earlier, in the ‘A’ Division league, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (EPD) could not take advantage of numerous chances that came their way and had to settle for a goalless draw with AGORC. Monday’s matches: RBI vs SWRI (A Division, 1.45 pm), Royals vs KSP (Super Division (3.45 pm).
