ISA signs MoU with TSIA
The India Semiconductor Association (ISA) on Monday signed an MoU with the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association (TSIA). The MoU, which focuses on developing business ties and exchanges between companies of both countries, was signed by ISA Chairman S Janakiraman and TSIA Chairman Dr Frank C Huang. “Our organisations have agreed to co-operate with each other on a number of activities, to encourage members to partner for mutually beneficial activities, to promote and attend international exhibitions and seminars together and assist  on company visits for trade delegations,” Mr Janakiraman said in Bangalore.

Cholamandalam to raise Rs 200 cr
Cholamandalam DBS Finance on Monday said it would raise Rs 200 crores through a rights issue of shares at an issue price of Rs 140 each. The rights issue would be in the ratio of three new shares for every eight existing shares held, the company said in New Delhi. The company also said each rights share would carry a detachable warrant at a maximum price of Rs 275 on warrant conversion.

Diesel-Arvind JV gets FIPB nod
Diesel and India’s Arvind Mills have got the approval of Foreign Investment Promotion Board for their planned JV to sell the foreign firm’s products in the country. The total paid up capital of the JV would be Rs 10 crore. While Diesel will have 51 per cent stake in the JV, the Indian partner will hold the rest. 

“We expect to open flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai by the end of this year,” Arvind Mills CEO Darshan Mehta told PTI in New Delhi on Monday. The JV plans to open 15 exclusive stores in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore etc in the next three years.

BHEL, MMTC sign MoU
Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has entered into an MoU with MMTC to jointly work towards increasing exports of power plant equipment from India. The two companies will tap opportunities of counter trading and bulk buying by MMTC to promote the export of BHEL equipment overseas, a BHEL statement said in New Delhi on Monday. It also addresses the issue of energy security by linking import of fuels, such as coal with the export of power projects.
