On a busy Monday morning, Bangaloreans, caught in the snarls of traffic could spot a beeline of chirpy school students, in front of Puttanna Chetty Townhall, waving their passes, eager to witness a magic show.
“This is the first time I would be watching a magic show and I am all excited”, said Ganesh, a fourth grade student of Air Force School.
Ganesh is one among the thousand of school students who had gathered, bubbling with joy to witness the magic show by Professor Shankar Udupi.
This magic show has been organised as part of the DHiE students’ programme for the benefit of the schoolchildren, who are enrolled under this programme.
These shows are spread over a period of 5 days, that started, on Monday, and will go on till Friday, said S V Srinivasan, Assistant General Manager-Circulation, Deccan Herald. There will be 11 shows spread over 5 days.
The primary reason for holding the shows is to provide entertainment to DHiE schoolchildren, he added.
“Magic is something that everybody enjoys from kids to adults. Children are spontaneous in their reaction. Thus, performing magic for them gives me immense joy”, said Prof Shankar.
