Karkala police on Monday informed that a sum of Rs 22,22,000, 6 cars, 101 kg of sandalwood, two bundles of Aluminium wires and weapons have been seized from the burglars arrested at Bajagoli.

These six persons have robbed a Qualis from Hassan, a Maruti Omni from Mudigere, a bike from Manipal, sandalwood from Hosanagar and several Honda City and Innova cars from other parts of the State.

The arrested are Hanif (31) and Mohommad Sadik (23), both wanted by the police in over 10 cases registered against them and are said to be parties in inter-State burglary cases too.

Anand alis Vikas (29) from Shimoga is said have involved in several burglaries in Chikmagalur and Shimoga.

Kadoori Chandra and other four have been presented to the court, police informed.

On the basis of the information received from the arrested, Majid from Kammaradi, Venkatesh from Hariharapur and Ramesh from Belagola were arrested at Shringeri on Monday.

Including Siddaraju from Arasikere and Mahommad Asif from Kaupu, a total of nine accused  people have been arrested so far.
