As many as Rs 151.75 lakh has been sanctioned by the government for the works of the taluk. MLA G V Srinivas Reddy performed the ground-breaking ceremony of various developmental works at Gudibande on Monday.
The progressive works will be undertaken at various stages. For the construction of concrete roads Rs 64 lakh, toilets Rs 8 lakh, office buildings Rs 16 lakh, vegetable market Rs 20 lakh, slaughter house market Rs 5 lakh, shandy Rs 5 lakh, supply of drinking water, materials required and purchase of pipelines Rs 27 lakh has been sanctioned, explained G V Srinivas Reddy.
The tender contract has been cancelled as per the government directive and the works will be started through the Zilla Panchayat, Public works department and Nirmithi centres, he stated.
