The golden jubilee celebration of Karnatak Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital (KIMS) here will begin on September 6. Padmavibhushan Gangubai Hanagal and veteran journalist Patil Puttappa will inaugurate the celebrations.

Revenue Minister Jagdish Shettar will preside over the function, while Minister for Medical Education Dr V S Acharya, Primary Education Minister Basavaarj Horatti, Opposition leader in the Council H K Patil and MP Prahlad Joshi will attend.
