Ryots meet DC for relief

Farmers from Singahalli, Hunsuru and Bummenahalli met Bangalore Urban District Deputy Commissioner M A Sadiq, on Tuesday, to air their grievances with regard to acquisition of land for the proposed 1,000 acre-plus aerospace industrial production park in Devanahalli.

Members of the Raitha Horata Samiti said that the meeting with the DC could not make much headway as the basic issue of compensation packages for land-losers was not addressed in detail.

Written test for PC posts

A written test will be held on September 9 at 42 centres in the City to select candidates to fill up vacant civil/women constable posts. Registration numbers and letters, directing the candidates to appear for the written test, have already been dispatched.
