Medical practitioner needed

A permanent medical practitioner is lacking in Gonibeedu hobli centre of the taluk and required officials have not been appointed yet.  If the decision taken to depute the lone medical practitioner is not withdrawn, a severe protest will be organised, said Gonibeedu Gram Panchayat member Sundar Kumar. 

Mr Kumar, who has already submitted a written demand in this regard said that the lone medical officer in Gonibeedu has been deputed to Mudigere hospital and new officers have not been appointed. 

Due to this sorry state of the hospital in the hobli, the public is forced to travel all the distance to Mudigere taluk centre. A request has been made to the representatives in the taluk and the taluk administration. If necessary steps are not taken in this regard immediately, a protest will be staged, he warned.
