A seven-member Chinese delegation led by Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC) Wang Yang, on Tuesday, called on the Legislative Assembly Speaker Krishna in his chambers.
The Speaker took them inside the Assembly hall and later hosted a lunch in their honour. Earlier, addressing the delegation, the Speaker explained the city's rich history, measured by its impressive modernity and cosmopolitan culture.
The State housed 1,883 IT companies and Bangalore City was the fourth biggest IT hub in the world after Silicon Valley, Boston and London, he said.
He recalled that recent interactions during the high level exchanges between the two countries had greatly contributed to the building of mutual trust and confidence.
Friendship
The delegation is visiting Bangalore under the banner of Indo-China Association, which aims to enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries, besides contributing to their overall development.
