As many as 500 teachers in association with Bangalore University College Teachers’ Association  staged a dharna in front of the Joint-Director Collegiate education office, on Wednesday.

This move is to pressurise the Union government to constitute UGC pay revision committee for university and college teachers across the country.  BUCTA President K G Lokesh said the Government should increase GDP from 4.25 per cent to 6.75 per cent.  On Thursday, BUCTA will submit MoU to the governor on this regard.
