In what appears like a witchcraft, three persons allegedly worshipped a black cow in the wee hours on Tuesday.

In a suspicious manner which occured in the here, the accused Regan (23), Kennady (38) and Kumar (23) worshipped the black cow belonging to Mathi of Sussaipalyam.

It was said that tamarind powder, kunkum, lemon and a weapon were found in the cowshed. When the mathi woke up in the morning, the accused fled the scene. Mathi lodged a complaint at the Andersonpet police station.

The police seized the weapon with the central government’s seal on it and inspected the spot. Probably the weapon belonged to Regan, who was serving military and has come to the town on leave.

However, when the police did not take action against the accused till noon, the fear-ridden residents of Sussaipalyam laid a seize on the police station, demanding arrest of the accused soon.
