Tension prevailed during the Gram Panchayat elections at Kodachwad village in Khanapur taluk when supporters of some candidates clashed on Wednesday. The police had to resort to a mild lathi charge to disperse the clashing mob. Including one constable.,three persons sustained injuries in the clash. Supporters entered into a verbal duel before the start of polling. Soon, the agitated groups started hurling stones on each other.

Meanwhile, elections for President and Vice President posts of Kodachwad have been postponed for an in
definite period.
