S Korea picks its first astronaut
South Korea has chosen a 30-year-old computer vision engineer as the country’s first astronaut for the trip to the International Space Station next year, the Science and Technology Ministry said on Wednesday, Kyodo reports from Seoul.
Ko San, a researcher at the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, was selected after he received higher marks in tests on space experiments and training conducted in Russia.
Diana inquest in October
The inquest into the deaths of Princess Diana and her boyfriend Dodi Al-Fayed, who were killed in a car crash in Paris, would finally begin on October 2, PTI reports from London. Lord Justice Scott Barker will head the inquest.
