Platform for children’s art
Art Blast is a non-profit voluntary group which encourages all school children to show off their very best drawings and paintings to the public and enable them to bloom into healthy artists nurturing the thought "Art for art's sake". Art Blast plans to put up two best entries from primary and secondary grades from various schools of Bengaluru, in an exhibition at The Forum in Koramangala for two days in December. Evening of Kathak
Abhinava Dance Company will present “Rangmanch”, an evening of Kathak with a solo debut performance by Srujana Gayathri Manjunath at 7 pm on September 6 at ADA Rangamandira, J C Road. Srujana is a disciple of Nirupama and Rajendra, wellknown dancers and artistic directors of Abhinava Dance Company.

Underground music
Indigo Thursdaze is back after a brief break and this time will be on a much bigger scale. This Thursday, Radio Indigo's own DJ Rohit Barker will spin the best underground tunes. Catch the 'Down Under Ground' edition of Radio Indigo Foster's Thursdaze at Hint on September 6, 8.30 pm onwards. The evening will be hosted by Radio Indigo's RJ Malavika with an opening dance performance by Graffiti.

Painting contest on Ganesha theme
The Little Crest, a chain of pre-schools, is organising a painting and drawing competition for children on September 9 on the occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi at their two schools in Vijayanagar and Vidyaranyapura.  The competition is open for all kids between 2 and 12 years of age and will be held at the school premises between 10 am to 12 noon.  The theme of the painting competition will be "Ganesha- My Friend" and the competition will be judged by a distinguished panel of judges which will also include some of the well known artists of Bangalore. Reiki workshop

Bharatanatyam performance
The ‘Bharathanatya Rangapravesha’ of M Ananya will be held at 6 pm on September 6 at Devagiri Sri Venkateshwara Temple, Devagiri, BSK II Stage. Guru K Shiva Rao (director of Sri Durga Parameshwari Nritya Niketana) and Vidwan Mahadevanna (renowned mrudangist) will be the guest of honour for the rangapravesa. Ananya started training in Bharatanatyam at the age of 5 under the guidance of her mother and Bharatanatyam artiste Vidushi K Brunda.
