On Thursday T G Krishna Bhat received the charge as the new and the first SP of the Chikkaballapur district. The charge was handed over by the SP of the Kolar district Dayanand.
Law and order would be given primary importance in the district. After touring the whole district the necessary steps would be taken, said Mr Krishna.
Mr Krishna Bhat took his first posting in the police department and belonged to the 1986 KAS batch.
He has worked in several parts of the State in the capacity of DySP.
In 1993 he was promoted as SP and took charge as DCP of the Corps od Detectives, Bangalore. DySP Chandra Mohan Singh and six taluk police officers were present at the time of the handing over of charges.
