Children eagerly participated in the ‘Angaladalli Kavi Kavya’ programme held at the Government High School, Chinnasandra, in Chintamani taluk, under the aegis of Kannada Vedike. The enthusiasm of the children won the hearts of the audience.
The programme was kick started by writer Uttanuru Rajamma by planting a sapling in honour of D V Gundappa. If awareness is created among the children about poets and their works, it would facilitate in enhancing their knowledge and as well develop their taste in literature, opined Rajamma.
These kind of literature programmes help in developing Kannada identity and human values among the children at an early age, observed Kagathi Venkata Ratnam.
The students paid glorious tribute to D V G by discussing about his life and works.
