Eye check-up camp on Sept 8

Chikkaballapur, dhns: A free eye check-up camp will be held on Sept 8 at Sir M Vishweshwaraiah Higher primary school at Kandavar in taluk. The camp has been jointly organised by Kandavara Development Committee, Project Kandavara and Narayana Netralaya.

Those who require surgical operations will be conducted at free of cost at the Narayana Netralaya at Bangalore and free boarding, lodging, vehicle, spectacles, medicines and other facilities will be provided to those who undergo operation, said K M Srinivas of Kandavar.

Sharana Sahitya Book release

Kolar, dhns: State Kannada and Culture Minister Mahadeva prasad will release ten Sharana Sahitya books at the 13th anniversary meet on September 9 as there has been increase in the readership.

The president of the Parishat Go Ru Channabasappa will preside over the function and Sri Shiva Murthy Shivacharya  will also be present.
