The Bangalore University Syndicate on Thursday constituted four sub-committees to implement recommendations of Triple ‘A’ (Academic, Administration and Audit) Committee ahead of NAAC re-accreditation scheduled for next year.
While one sub-committee will monitor support systems such as hostel, infrastructure, power supply etc, another will review examination system. The other committees will visit different departments and check implementation of recommendations and monitor varsity’s income and budgetary expenses.
Vice-Chancellor Prof H A Ranganath told reporters that BU syndicate will monitor the functioning of sub-committees.
Syndicate has approved one of the Triple `A’ committee’s recommendations on safety measures for degree certificates and marksheets.
The BU has, for the first time, documented the varsity’s land details. BU will hold a three-day national workshop on ‘National Knowledge Commission Report’ starting September 18. Vice-chancellors from various varsities are expected to take part.
CSAAW rally
The members of Campaign and Struggle Against Acid Attacks on Women (CSAAAW) — an NGO, working with acid attack victims, is holding a rally on September 8 in the City, to protest against the fatal acid attack on Hina Fathima.
The rally will start at 11.30 am from Mysore Bank Circle and proceed towards Town Hall where a protest meeting will be held.
