A house housing cattle suddenly collapsed on Wednesday night resulting in a loss of more than Rs one lakh at Talduammanahalli in Shidlaghatta taluk.

The house belonged to one Kempamma. A buffalos and a sheep died in the collapse. A bicycle and a two-wheeler have been completely damaged. A complaint has been registered in the rural police station.

Woman killed

An old woman was killed on the spot when a two-wheeler rammed into her near Gollahalli in the taluk. Puttamma (60) of Doddaballapura’s Heggadahalli, is the unfortunate victim.

The two-wheeler rider is absconding and search is on to nab him. Rural police have registered a case.

Dowry death

In a dowry harassment case a housewife is allegedly said to have been killed in Fakir Hoshalli in the taluk.

About five years back Mohiuddeen alias Javeed was married to Najeema Firaz of the same village. It is alleged from the beginning she was being harassed for dowry.

On Wednesday night, the husband, his father Abdul Basheer Sab and mother Farida Begum had hanged her to death after torturing her for years without showing any merchy, alleged the victim’s brother Syed Nawaz Pasha in a complaint.
