An orphan lady who was staying in Sevaniketan, an orphanage since the last two years, stepped into wedded life with elation on Thursday.

Rehan, who was an orphan has become the pillar of strength for handicapped Naseeruddin, who is a bank employee through the ideal marriage. An employee in the State Bank of Mysore in Chikmagalur tied the nuptial knot as per Muslim tradition.

Rehan, who has passed SSLC had lost her father and mother at a young age, grew up in the orphanages in Gulbarga and Mysore and came to Udupi two years ago.

Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj and Women and Child Development department Deputy Director Vijayalakshmi Shenoy and over five hundred people witnessed the wedding.
