ART
Solo exhibition
Ganapati Hegde is exhibiting his paintings titled, “Between the creator and I” from September 7 to 14 from 10 am to 7 pm at Gallery G, Maini Sadan, 38 Lavelle Road, 7th Cross.

 Group show
A painting show of five talents is running in the Art Complex of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad, Kumara Krupa Road. The show under the rubric Bhavadokulj comprises the works of Chinthan, Prakash, Swetha, Jagan and Krishna . The exhibition was inaugurated by Gowri Lankesh, Editor Lankesh Patrike on September 4. Artist JMS Mani presided over the function.The show will last till September 10.

Painting exhibition
The Hatworks Boulevard and Crimson, the art resource is organising an exhibition of paintings by Preethi Raja from September 5 to 26 between 11am and 7 pm at the Hatworks Boulevard, off Cunningham Road.

MUSIC
Hindustani vocal
Sursagar presents “Hindustani Rag Sangeet” by Aditi Kaikini Upadhya. She will be accompanied by Gurumurthy Vaidya on the tabla and Vyasamurti Katti on the harmonium on September 8 at 6.30 pm at Canara Union, 8th Main, Malleswaram.

Musical nite
Nikhila Institute of Music is presenting a Musical Nite on its fifth anniversary on September 8 from 5 pm to 9.30 pm at H N Kalakshetra, National College, 7th block, Jayanagar.  Kannada, Hindi and Western classical songs will be presented in the event.

Flute recital
Indiranagar Sangeeth Sabha is organising a flute recital by Dr B Vijayagopal on September 8 at 6 pm at Pundara Bhavana, 8th Main Road, HAL second stage. The accompanying artistes are B U Ganesh Prasad (violin), J Vaidhyanathan (mridangam), Dayananda Mohite (ghatam).

Carnatic vocal
The Indian Institute of World Culture is presenting a carnatic vocal music by M A Madhuvanthi at the Indian Institute of World Culture on September 8 at 6 pm.

Sugama sangeeth
Bangalore Lalithakala Parishath is organising a sagama sangeeth (light music) programme by Archana Udupa at H N Kalakshetra, National College, Jayanagar on September 9 at 6.30 pm.

Nadaswaram
Sri Krishna Sangeeth Sabha and Ayyannar Sangeeth Kalashala is organising a Nadaswaram duet by
M Kodandaram and S Ramesh Babu on September 10 at 6 pm at Sri Sharada Pravachana Mandira, Pattabhirama Temple, 13rd Main Road, 4th T Block, Jayanagar. On September 11 at 7 pm in the same venue there is another flute concert by M P Sarvottam.

Nadaswaram solo
Vagdheeshwari Kala Kendra is organising a nadaswaram concert by V Manjunath on September 9 at 6.15 pm at Sree Sharada Pravachana Mandir, Pattabhirama Seva Mandali, 13th Main Road, Jayanagar 4th T Block.

Music concert
A musical concert by Dr Radha Bhaskar is 5 pm on September 9  at Gayana Samaja auditorium, K R Road.  She will be accompanied by S Chandran on ten violin and Mudhra Bhaskar on the mridangam. Dr Radha is the recipient of several awards, titles and honour from organisations including Sri Krishna Gana Sabha and Indian Fine Arts Society.

A rangapravesha of  H C Ranjini will be held at 6.15 pm on September 8 at ADA Rangamandira.
