A pictorial journey
Four photography enthusiasts based in Bangalore — Anita Bora, Shankar S, Nishant N and Venkatesh K present ‘Wide Angle 2007’, a set of thoughtfully selected frames that attempt to take the viewer on a pictorial journey of discovery.
Anita, Shankar, Nishant and Venkatesh are all part of an informal group of Bangalore's amateur and hobby photographers. They all hold full-time jobs while also pursuing photography as a hobby. The photographs capture moments from the ordinary to the exotic. While, Anita enjoys capturing people, places, moments and objects around her, Nishant is moved by lights and shadows that intrigue and inspire him. Wide angle landscape photography is what Venkatesh enjoys doing most and Shankar is passionate about wildlife.
Part of the sale proceeds will go towards underprivileged children and those affected with Aids. One of the beneficiaries is Jagruti, an NGO which helps the HIV infected in Bangalore.
Their main aim is rehabilitating children back into a social setting.
The exhibition will be held at the Chitra Kala Parishath, Kumara Krupa Road, from September 7 - 9 between 10 am amd 8 pm.
