The NDA on Thursday expressed hope that the government may relent and find a way to accommodate their demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to scrutinise the Indo-US civil nuclear deal.
A flurry of meetings between the UPA ministers and the BJP leaders continued with the latter trying to convince the government that a structured mechanism with representatives from all political parties would serve the purpose of the national interests better than the present Committee which comprised only the Left and the UPA partners.
