On the eve of the elections to the Karnataka Rajya Amateur Kabbadi Association (KRAKA), a faction challenging the current office-bearers has demanded a probe by the District Registrar (Association, Club), alleging bias by the returning officer.
Former international M Gopalappa said returning officer M K Nagendra had rejected valid nominations of Shashipriya and Kuppuraj for the posts of president and secretary respectively.
Gopalappa alleged their nominations were rejected on the basis that consent letter of the candidates in their own handwriting was not enclosed though the requirement of the same had not been mentioned anywhere on the application form or the poll notification notice.
