Atrocities on kids: SHRC refutes judge's statements  
The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has flatly refuted High Court Judge and the chairperson of Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA) Justice Gopala Gowdas statement that no initiative has been taken by it in connection with the atrocities on children by Hanumanthanagar police inspector and other staff around ten days ago.
Student kills self, reason unknown  
A college student committed suicide by hanging at her Rajajinagar residence on Saturday night. Priyadarshini (19) was a final year BA student of Mount Carmel College.
Docs resume their strike  
Confusion prevailed amongst factions of the Junior Doctors Association, who resumed the strike on Monday. After a key member of JDA announced that the strike was called off following a meeting with the Governor on Sunday, doctors were back at the porch with placards on Monday morning.
