A techie was stabbed at her Jayanagar VII Block residence here on Monday evening. The victim Nandini (25), is a City based software engineer, working for Google in Hyderabad.
Nandini was in the City for her wedding, which is scheduled for the first week of March. After marriage, she was to leave for the US.
She was rushed to Deepak Nursing Home, and is now out of danger.
Around 7:20 pm the doorbell at Nandini’s house rang. She opened the door to see a few youths at her doorstep. They told her that they were from a courier office. When Nandini turned around, two of the youths tried to push her and forcibly get into the house.
She overpowered them and raised an alarm. Immediately, elders too joined her and began shouting for help. In the melee, one of the culprits took out a knife and stabbed Nandini in the stomach.
