Scam in sites distribution, enquiry demanded
Gulbarga, DH News Service:
The Small Scale Industries Owners Association has demanded that a COD inquiry be instituted to enquire into the distribution of sites in the Kapanur II Stage, to the influential, by the Karnataka Industries Area Development Board.

The Small Scale Industries Owners’ Association has demanded that  a  COD inquiry be instituted to enquire into the distribution of sites in the Kapanur II Stage, to the influential, by the Karnataka Industries Area Development Board.
Also, they have urged that the sites should be distributed according to seniority.
Association President  Bheema Shankar B Patil along with the Vice President Mohammed Maqbul on Saturday submitted a memorandum to the Agricultural Marketing Minister Sharanabasappa Darshanapur.
Seniority
It was decided to allocate sites according to the seniority. Also, it was agreed upon to draw a list containing the details of the sites and the exact positioning of the sites, at the Single Window Committee meeting held.
However, the KIADB officers submitted a report to the Single Window Committee stating that  there are no vacant sites at the Kapanur II Stage.
However, the plot numbers 7, 8, 9,10,11 and 26, 27 in the industrial zone at Kapanur II Stage has been distributed to two industrialists, they said.
But they do not figure in the seniority list, the members of the Small Industries Owners’ Association complained.
Moreover, nearly 119 members who are in the seniority list have been waiting since one and a half year. Thus, an enquiry needs to be conducted against the officers, observed the members.
If the sites now distributed to the industrialists are not withdrawn  a struggle will be imminent, warned the members.
Moreover, the members also demanded that COD  action needs to taken against the KIADB officers and also that they need to be transferred to other places.
