Former MLA A S Guruswamy (66) died of cardiac arrest in Mysore on Tuesday.

He is survived by his wife Geetha, son Bijjala and daughters -Shilpa and Prarthana. Guruswamy complained of chest pain at his Agrahara residence around 10 am. He was rushed to JSS Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

His body has been kept at his residence for the public to pay their last respects. Last rites will be performed at his farm in Ayarahalli, near here, on Wednesday.
He wanted his eyes donated after his death. As per his wish, his eyes were removed at a hospital here.
