UAS to hold   krishi mela
Bangalore, dhns:  UAS Sciences, B’lore will organise Krishi Mela - 2007 during the second fortnight of November. The University will honour one farm man and one farm woman from each district of its jurisdiction which are: Bangalore rural, Bangalore urban, Ramanagara, Chamarajanagar, Chikmagalur, Chitradurga, Dakshina Kannada, Davanagere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Chikkaballapura, Mandya, Mysore, Shimoga, Tumkur and Udupi districts.

Interested farm men and farm women of these districts can apply for these awards. Prescribed application format can be obtained from any of the district officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture or Fisheries departments from the Krishi Vigyan Kendras and the extension education units of the concerned districts. The filled-in applications should be submitted to the district officers of the above departments on or before October 25. Call 080 - 2341 1483.
