Dejected lover ends life
A mechanic, dejected over his lover refusing to marry him, committed suicide by hanging at his Kamalanagar residence on Tuesday. K Anand (20), a resident of Pipeline Road, was in love with a girl from the same area. He was upset when the girl refused to marry him, said the police.

Student ends  life
A II PUC student committed suicide by hanging at her Gubbanna Estate residence in Rajajinagar, Magadi Road police station limits, on Tuesday.

According to the police, S Varsha (18) was watching TV the entire day.

When her mother Hema chided her, an upset Varsha ended her life. She was taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Jewellery heist: One more held
The city police have arrested a person who arranged vehicle for the inter-state gang in the Chemmanur robbery case. Ansal, a Kerala based vehicle lifter is in police net and nearly a dozen gold rings has been confiscated from him.  Sources said, Ansal arranged four-wheelers for the gang in all their major robberies. Meanwhile, the police have sought police custody of Radha Krishna and Mahesh Shetty.

Ex-CM’s ‘confidant’ dupes woman
A conman claiming to be a confidant of a senior political leader and former chief minister duped an elderly woman to the tune of nearly Rs 9.5 lakh. Lingamma (68), wife of Nanjaiah, a resident of II Block, HRBR Layout (Kalyan Nagar) has complained to Banaswadi police station that Ashok Walikar befriended her. Ashok claimed to be a confidant of former chief minister Dharam Singh and promised to get her a BDA site. He collected Rs 9.5 lakh from Lingamma and vanished.
