Frazer Town police on Thursday arrested one person for cheating. According to police, Suresh Kumar (27) of Mavalli, approached Spencer Super Stores in Frazer Town on October 1 at 11 am and introduced himself as Satish, an employee of Group Force Security. This agency is in the business of collecting amount from Spencer Super Stores and depositing the same in ABN Amro Bank.

Satish produced his identity card when the Stores’ cashier, Jacklin, asked him to do so, upon which she gave him Rs 2.31 lakh and directed him to deposit the money.

However, the amount. was not deposited. When Jacklin called up Group Force Security and asked for the same, she found  that there was no  Satish working with them.

A case was lodged with the Frazer Town police following the incident.

Fined for theft
Bescom vigilance squad unearthed a case of power theft and imposed a fine of Rs 2.5 lakh.

Ganesh Govindappa, owner of SLN Water Supply, was availing of power by tampering the meter. The squad also booked Ganesh and his associates from trying to obstruct them from discharging their duties.
