SHGs get financial aid

The governments schemes have been utilised by only a few who are equipped with enough information on them and hence, these schemes have not reached the people in large scale.

   The State and Union government have implemented several schemes for the development and economical empowerment of the poor and the marginalised, said Taluk Panchayat President Shankarappa.
He was speaking after distributing Rs 3.75 lakh worth grants to the Self Help Groups, under Swarna Jayanti Rozgar Yojana, in Bangarpet on Thursday.

He called upon the people to avail the benefits provided by the governments under the various schemes for the SHGs.

The governments’ schemes have been utilised by only a few who are equipped with enough information on them and hence, these schemes have not reached the people in large scale.

Rs 1.25 lakh grants
The following Self-Help Groups were each granted Rs 1.25 lakh on the occasion: Varalaxmi Navasaksharata Swa-Sahaya Sangha of Kesaranahalli, Ambika Swa-Sahaya Sangha of Abbagiri Hosahalli and Devi Swa-Sahaya Sangha of Virupakshapur in Ghatta Madangala gram panchayat.

Zilla Panchayat Vice-President Appireddy, Taluk Panchayat member Sumitra Srinivas, Taluk Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Dr Venkataswamy, member Jayasimhakrishnappa, Gram Panchayat President Narayanappa and other leaders were present on the occasion.
