“Our party leaders B S Yediyurappa, State President Sadananda Gowda and the ministers, who have submitted their resignations, will seek blessings of Sri Shivakumara Swamiji before starting the protest,” he said at a press conference here.
Before this, the party leaders will assemble near the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Bangalore and submit their resignation letters to the Governor, he added.
“This is a decisive fight against the JD (S), which has gone back on its words on power transfer. Our protest will continue till we get a mandate from the people. BJP will hold protest rallies, public meetings, conventions and walkathons all over the State and inform the people about the true colours of JD (S),” Mr Shivanna said.
“We are ready to face the elections,” he added.
After the press conference, Mr Shivanna held a meeting with the party workers and leaders.
President of Textile Corporation M D Laxminarayana, District General Secretary of BJP T S Niranjan and others were present at the occasion.
