DH News Service, Tumkur:
The Veerashaiva Social welfare organisation took out a torch light protest in Tumkur against the JD(S).

The leaders of the Samithi said that the JD(S) leaders had  cheated the BJP  after having promised for a power transfer after 20 months in office. The leaders also added that JD(S) was  threatened by the excellent administration of  Yediyurappa and therefore had resorted to this desperate measure to keep him from power.

Lingayat fury
They also warned the  JD(S) that the Veerashaiva Community would not stand for deceit. The protesters carried torch light and  took out their protest from Townhall circle through many of the main roads in the  city.

Nagaratna Shivanna, Asha Prasanna Kumar, T R Sadashivaiaha, G R Shivakumar, S G Chandramouli, H N  Shivakumar and others participated  in the  protest that took strong objection to the JD(S) tactics.

Warning
President of the Basavsene city wing, Deepak announced in a press conference that the JD(S)  had insulted the lingayat community by refusing to transfer power to the BJP. He also added that the JD(S) had refused to hand over power to the BJP to curtail the rising popularity of the Veerashaiva community He warned the JD(S) that the Veerashaiva community would deliver a befitting reply to this insult in the  forthcoming  elections. “The electorate will  teach the power thirsty Devegowda a proper lesson.”he said.
