Tennis tourney
A two day tennis ball cricket tournament has been organised in Cyalnoor village of Kolar Taluk in remembrance of one Lokesh and Raghavendra by village’s Sneha Bharati sports development association on 13 and 14 of October. 

A prize amount of  Rs 2500 with a trophy will be given to First winner, Second winner will get a amount of 1,501 and a trophy. Prizes will also be given to Man of the Match and Man of the series.

Youth conference
A taluk-level meeting of the Shidlagatta’s Rural Yuva  Mandalis has been organised by Kolar’s Nehru Yuva Kendra on October 9 in Shildlagatta’s Panchayat Auditorium.  S Devasahayam of Nehru Yuva Kendra has urged various youth and women associations to participate in the Conference.

President elected
N S Shankar has won the election by attaining the majority for the Director’s post of Karnataka Sahakara Kukukta Mahamandali (Bangalore) director.

Condolence meet held
A condolence meet was held in respect of Senior Advocate T S Tatachar on Thursday in the premises of Central Lawyers Association who died on September 30.  A two minute silence was observed in reverence to Tatachar. Association president K R Dhanraj presided over the function.
