Ambedkar Bhavan to come up

The ground-breaking ceremony of Ambedkar Bhavan will be held on October 9, as per the demand of BEML SC and ST Worker’s Association on the eve of 115th year of Birthday Celebration of Dr  B R Ambedkar, said Association President R Rajshekhar.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, he said that the Bhavan will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.6 crore and will be inaugurated by Union Defence Minister A K Anthony. Also Union Minister for Railways R Velu, Union Minister K H Muniyappa, Rao Indrajeet Singh, MLA Rajendran and others will participate, he stated.  
He also appreciated the present President V R S Natarajan’s co-operation to the association and also said that in the year 2005-06 the BEML has got a profit of Rs 352 crore which is a historical achievement of the Industry, he said. This time, appointment on Humanitarian Grounds has increased and as many as 100 employees are appointed on these grounds, he added. Medical facilities has also been extended to the Workers colonies, he said. R Rajashekharan, V Gopal, T Dhanashekharan, B Gowtham, R Gopinath of BEML Workers Welfare Association  were present.
