Lobbying begins for TMC President post
Shidlaghatta, DHNS:

As the State politics is moving from bad to worst, some winning candidates in local body poll are bewildered. Of 27 wards, JD(S) has won 18 seats and Congress  9 seats in the recently held town panchayat poll. Now, there is a competition among JD(S) candidates for the post of president and vice-president. Moreover, the first time winners are also keen on becoming president. But, Apsar Pasha, Jagadish and  S Prakash have already been in the race.

It is very evident that Congress leaders are very much upset with this development as they had control over town panchayat administration for many years.

Now, there is a need to convince JD(S) leaders who had many difference of opinions with MLA on various matters. It is very curious to see how MLA Muni Shamappa will move from here as he is known as a person who supports minority. In a way he is in dilemma, but party members feel that he is capable of handling all these things.

All these developments have increased curiosity among people. But, MLA seems to be calm and stable. People are of the opinion that Apsar Pasha doesn't hold a good name as his name was involved in communal violence.

They also feel Jagadish stayed away from MLA before the election. It is also possible that Jagadish might become president if Congress tricks get success. S Prakash who doesn’t carry bad name might become president.

Moreover, he has cordial relationship with MLA. But, party’s internal sources reveal that everything is not all right within the party. At any time, it might be exploded. On the other hand, Congress is brooding over utilising the situation.  ‘Horse lobby’ has already started. One has to wait and see the destination of JD(S).
