Computer CD fest
Bangalore-based Vision Interactive Systems is organising a CD festival at the Institution of Engineers, Ambedkar Veedhi, Opp Indian Express Building from October 6 to October 15 from 10 am to 8.30 pm. Over 5,000 titles are from over 100 firms are on display. A discount of up to 50 per cent is offered.

The festival showcases a wide rage of computer CDs and educational CDs on a wide range of subjects including kids edutainment, management, entrance examinations, cooking, architecture, rhymes, animated stories, games, quiz, encyclopaedia, home and interior design.

Vocal concert contest
Asthika Samaja is conducting Sri Thyagaraja Aradhana and music competition in Carnatic classical (vocal) in memory of Thyagaraja on October 28. Students in the age group between 7 and 11 are eligible  for the junior group and those between 12 and 15 are eligible for competing in the senior group.

Gold savings scheme
