After the success in the Nehru Cup on home ground, a confident Indian football team will aim to cash in on their good form when they take on Lebanon in the away leg of the World Cup qualifiers at Beirut on Monday.
Coach Bob Houghton has instilled confidence in the players but they are expected to be thoroughly tested by Lebanon in the first round on the way to the mega event scheduled to be held in South Africa in 2010. India, however, will take the field with a depleted bench as goalkeeper Sandip Nandy and forward Abhishek Yadav have returned home with injuries.
However, both players were not likely to be in the starting line-up with Subrata Pal being first choice under the bar while skipper Bhaichung Bhutia and Sunil Chetri is the strike pair.
