Christ Junior College and Sri Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain College (SBMJC), VV Puram, bagged the overall trophy in commerce and science categories respectively, at ‘Spoorthi’, an annual intercollegiate commerce and science fest held on Monday.

The two day fest is organised by SBMJC under the banner ‘Taru Samskruti’.

Under Commerce category, SBMJC, JC Road won the personality contest and Christ College won the ‘Inspiring Icons’ contest. In ‘Mad Ads’, the first prize was bagged by St Joseph’s College of Commerce and the second place was bagged by SBMJC, V V Puram. In case study of HRM policy, Christ college bagged the first place and St Joseph’s College bagged the second place.

In Science, there were seven off-stage events and three on-stage events. Though the SBMJC won the overall trophy, since it was a host, the rolling trophy was given to St Paul College. Under ‘Vibrant Hues’ event, SBMJC, V V Puram bagged first prize and Christ College bagged the second prize.

In ‘Pick ‘n’ Speak’, SBMJC, V V Puram bagged the first prize and Christ College bagged the second prize. SBMJC, V V Puram bagged the first prize and St Paul College bagged the second prize in science quiz. About 13 colleges participated.
