Film fest in Jan
Suchitra Cinema and Cultural Academy announced the commencement of the 2nd ‘Bengalooru International Film Festival -2008’ (BIFF) from January 3.

Film maker Girish Kasaravalli told reporters here  on Monday, that the week long festival will be inaugurated at the Chowdaiah Memorial Hall. The festival will later move to newly opened Vision Cinemas on Kengal Hanumanthaiah Road, where over 100 films from 30 countries will be screened.

Air Arabia service
 Air Arabia, the international low-cost airline will begin services to Bangalore from October 15. The flights will operate four times a week between Bangalore and Air Arabia’s hub in Sharjah.

Flights to Bangalore will leave Sharjah at 22:50 pm local time and arrive in Bangalore at 4:20am local time. Return flights will leave Bangalore at 05:05am local time and arrive in Sharjah at 07:50 am local time. Frequency of flights is expected to increase by the month. Bangalore increases Air Arabia’s total destinations to 37, a destination network that stretches from Eastern Europe, through the Middle East and North Africa, to South Asia.

Advocates
The State Government has appointed advocate G Suresh as Additional State Public Prosecutor and the following advocates as Additional Government Advocates:

Sarojini Muttanna, M Rudraiah, Mohmad Shafiulla, BN Prasad, PS Dinesh, NY Guruprakash, Suman Hegde, HM Manjunath. The following are appointed as High Court Government Pleaders :- Ananda K Navalgimath, SS Hosuru, Shashidhar S Karamadi, BB Goudar and R Sharashchandra.

The Government has renewed the services of following advocates for a period of two years.

G Bhavani Singh (as State Public Prosecutor-2), B Manohar, G Chandrashekaraiah, AG Shivanna, S Sujatha, B Veerappa, Nilofar Akbar, M Narayanappa, SZA Qureshi (as Additional Government Advocates), R Kumar, Nadiga Shivanandappa, Asha M Kumbaratimath, R K Hatti and RB Sathyanarayana Singh (as HC Government Pleaders)
