It was the turn of Hassan Lokayukta Inspector M B Parvin to be amazed of the new cuisine combination registered at the log book, during his visit to the hostel on Monday.
A total of 27 inmates of the hostel had been hospitalised in Kadur on Saturday due to food poisoning. And within two days much more scandals have been unearthed causing disappointment among the public, who have termed the developments as the mirror to the functioning of the Social Welfare department.
Later, the Lokayukta Inspector visited various sections of the Taluk Panchayat. Becoming aware of the two applications submitted an year ago for widow pension, he asked the Tahsildar to dispose the applications within eight days. As only 941 applications regarding old age pension have been disposed, while 416 are pending, he instructed that the applications of disabled and Sandhya Suraksha should not be kept pending at any cost.
Lokayukta DySP Ramanath, Inspector Panchaksharaiah and personnel took part in the visit.
