Large number of people, fans and the party activists  from several parts of the district had come to extend their support.

Resounding welcome
People welcomed BJP leaders B S Yediyurappa, Anantakumar, D B Sadananda Gowda, Shobha Karandlage D H Shankara Murthy, Jagadisha Shettar, C M Udasi who came in two helicopters to the City at 11am.

Divine blessing
As soon as the helicopters landed, BJP leaders visited Siddaganga Mutt and took the blessings of Dr Shivakumara Swamiji. After this, they went to library grounds to participate in the convention in a huge procession.

 Local MLA  Sogadu Shivanna was in-charge of the procession. The procession started from Shivakumara Swamiji Circle, BH road. People had gathered on either side of the road, and raised slogans for Yediyurappa. Crackers were burnt on the occasion. BH road was thronged with people and fans of BJP. 

All BJP leaders including District BJP President K S Kirankumar were present on the occasion. Kunigal BJP leader B Suresh Gowda welcomed the gathering.
