'Gowda will be relieved for good'
DH News Service, Tumkur:

“H D Devegowda who has  gone back on his word and now will be sent on a permanent vacation by the electorate.  I hope his  shawl will keep him warm enough”  was BJP State President’s D B Sadananda Gowda’s satiric comment on the JD(S) supremo. He was speaking  at an open gathering on Monday in Tumkur.

Deceitful behaviour
“Senior leaders of the state have  dishonoured their word and the people of Karnataka will  teach them a befitting lesson. The mandate will support the BJP and we will win atleast 150 seats in the coming  elections” said the optimistic leader.

He also added that the BJP was not upset about not coming to power but  about the betrayal by the JD(S).
He came down  heavily on their former coalition partner and said  “As a political party we firmly stand by principles that define our  leadership. We honoured the pact that was agreed upon 20 months ago and tolerated the insults heaped upon us only because we had given our word. However the JD(S) has not  insulted BJP but also the electorate mandate. We would like to send out a message from Tumkur that the party will not tolerate the treacherous behaviour by the JD(S).”

He also added that efforts were being made to try and  divide the BJP and create a rift in the party but also made it very clear to the political opponents that this would never be possible.
