The JD (S) has always been ready to transfer power to the BJP. However, B S Yediyurappa was not ready to handle the power. What can we do as a party if Mr Yediyurappa is not lucky enough to be the chief minister, said Huliyurudurga Legislator D Nagarajaiah and Kunigal Legislator H Ningappa at a joint press conference held in Kunigal.
Personal word
The agreements that were arrived at before the coalition government came to power was strictly between H D Kumaraswamy and B S Yediyurappa and not between the parties or between the national leaders of the two parties, they observed.
Even to the last minute B S Yediyurappa never spoke to the chief minister about the transfer of power.
No communication
It was only through the mass media that Mr Yediyurappa proposed the transfer of power.
The BJP never behaved like a true coalition partner, they added.
Moreover, there is one faction within the BJP party that doesnot want Mr Yediyurappa to be the chief minister.
If only Mr Yediyurappa had exercised some restraint within ten days the power would have been transferred to the BJP party, both of them observed.
Also present in the meeting were Block JD (S) President K L Harish, N T Venkatesh and others.
