The Devanagari seal, square in shape is 3-inch wide, 2.5 inch long and has a 10 inch long handle. The seal scripted on one side and a carries a symbol of a plough on the other. It is believed to have been used in the stamping of food grain bags.
The other seal which is believed to be in either Urdu, Arabic or Persian script is 3.5 inch wide and 3.5 inch long, to which a 7.5 inch handle is fixed.
The Forum so far has collected coins belonging to the reign of Adil Shah, Moghul, Vijayanagar, Hyder and Tippu Sultan. It also has coins belonging to the East India Company and later British. For additional information on coins the forum has sent a copy of these coins to the Bharathiya Itihasa Anusandhana Parishat’s southern regional centre.
