Minister Alangur Sreenivas's visit to Congress leaders’ residence has captured the attention of people. People feel that changes are bound to happen in the taluk politics.
Alangur Srinivas had come to the City to participate in the party activists’ meeting. After the meeting, he visited the houses of Congress leaders.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, he said election is in the corner, many taluk leaders might join JD(S). There is every chance of local leader becoming MLA. His visit to Congress Zilla Panchayat member and and Youth Congress State Chief Secretary G E Ramegowda’s residence was a special one.
Though his visit seems a casual one there is every possibility of politicalness associated with this. He also visited M V Vemana’ house who had lost in the previous town municipality election.
Taluk Panchayat President, Congress Candidate, B R Sreenivas garlanded the minister which drew the attention of large number of people.
Then, he visited C Lakshmninarayan’s residence who had lost in the previous election. It was evident that he spoke to all local leaders in a polite manner. He discussed the current political situation with them. He also encouraged other leaders to get ready to start a campaign against MLA which indicates that he is going for a change. From there, he visited Town Municipality President S V Babureddy’s house.
It was very obvious that he visited all these leaders’ houses with the intention of convincing them to join JD(S). Local Leaders R Prabhakar, S Prakash, H Hanumantappa and P Narayanaswamy, B V Papanna, Chandrashekara Gowda played an crucial role in convincing other leaders to join JD(S). Amongst all these leaders, R Prabhakar was keen on convincing other leaders join JD(S). But, Congress leaders neither accepted nor rejected their invitation.
