In the view of the permission granted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) to start four new government engineering colleges at Hoovina Hadagali, Haveri, Raichur and Kushalnagar for the year 2007-08, the Government has directed the CET Cell to allot 960 seats in these colleges along with 382 unfilled seats in the existing government engineering colleges.

Hence, a special casual vacancy round will be conducted on October 11 and 12 to offer these seats. All the eligible engineering rank holders can  participate. On October 11, 1 to 30,000 ranks and on October 12, 30,001 to last rank will be allowed to select the available seats in the order of merit.
