He said Congress party has asked Governor Rameshwar Thakur to dismiss the Government led by Kumaraswamy as it is reduced to minority after BJP’s withdrawal of support to JD(S).
Addressing the party workers during the meeting of the Backward Community Cell of Congress, in Bangalore, Mr Kharge said “the coalition government collapsed after BJP withdrew its support. The coalition partners are now packing their bags,” he said. He stated that JD(S)-BJP coalition government had violated the principles of coalition. “It’s shameful to see both the political parties criticising each other. They have stooped to the lowest level of politics,” he added.
Mr Kharge flayed former prime minister H D Deve Gowda for dividing the society to grab power. “Deve Gowda talks of internal reservation, external reservation, reservation for minorities but he has no affection for the backward communities. He is using the reservation tactics to grab power,” he added.
Former union minister C K Jaffar Sharief said that Muslims and Hindu backward communities are exploited. They should come together to elevate the status of backward people.
