JD(S) MLAs were literally in a dilemma: whether to abide by party supremo H D Deve Gowda’s diktat not to extend support to the BJP or endanger their political careers.

According to party sources, Gowda’s Padmanabhanagar residence witnessed high drama when some MLAs went there along with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

While Gowda tried convincing CM not to go with BJP again, his wife Chennamma pleaded with the MLAs to save her mangalya by not supporting the BJP. She also warned them that Gowda would end his life if they go against him.
